Detours.
We don't really like them. They can get extremely annoying at times. But sometimes they are necessary. In life, detours can protect our cars from wearing down, they can be used to get a last minute present, and they can serve as a break from the daily grind.
But sometimes life throws you a detour. You think you have everything figured out and you see nothing but sun in the future. And then in a split second you are on a different road. A road that you've never been on before, one where you can't see the sunny ending, or any ending for that matter. These detours are necessary to strengthen and enrich faith.
Because once you get to the end of this new and daunting path you find yourself able to tackle any new and boundless road that comes your way. Faith is like gas. You can only drive as far as there is gas in your car. On the different paths of life you can only walk as far as your faith takes you.
There are plenty of places to veer off the road, to be complacent and sit on a bench, or even end everything on the road. But it is in the perseverance of your faith that you truly find strength and belief in yourself.
We all are stuck on these roads and trust me, it gets very rough sometimes. You see an easy solution, but for some reason that solution is impossible. And that's for good reason. You don't always know what is best for you, but if you have faith and stay the road, the best will come. It may not come now, but it will come eventually.
All we can do is keep our faith, treat others with utmost respect, and continue to have hope for the future and know that one day it will all work out.
To all your paths, may they lead to a better and more prosperous future,
Sincerely,
Hope.
